Toy Story 3 has been nominated for five academy awards including best picture by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
The nominations were announced this morning, in the Samuel Goldwyn theater in Beverly Hills California.
Here are the categories that Toy Story 3 has been nominated in:
- Best Picture
- Best Animated Feature Film
- Adapted Screenplay (Screenplay written by Michael Arndt. Story by John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich)
- Best Original Song ("We Belong Together" Music and Lyrics by Randy Newman)
- Sound Editing (Tom Myers & Michael Silvers)
Also, Pixar's short film, Day & Night directed by Teddy Newton, also received a nomination for Best Animated Short Film.
The 83rd Academy Awards will be on February 27th on ABC network.
